FAQs

1. What courses are available to industry professionals?
We offer a wide range of courses available either through online self-paced e-learning or instructor led classroom, on-site or live online training via webinar. Our self-paced online course library includes a diverse list of topics that are accessible to users 24/7 that address compliance issues. Topics offered by instructor led training are generally related to timely issues that currently affect industries or require hands-on demonstrations and absolute learner comprehension.

2. What's the difference between a live online training and self-paced e-learning?
Live online training is training delivered by an instructor in an online format over the web. Participants are able to interact verbally with the facilitator and each other.
Self-paced e-learning is training that is completed at the learner's own pace and available 24/7 to the learner. The flexibility of this type of learning allows users to access their own course anytime when it best fits their schedule.

3. What is the length of a course?
Online courses typically range from 30 to 60 minutes. If a course is offered at an on-site training facility, the duration is typically a 4 hour session, single day session or 2 day session. However, we can customize the amount of time spent on specific topics and skills to fit the needs of our clients. Some course offerings can provide blended instructor led classroom training, field demonstrations, and on-line self paced learning. Courses can be tailored to meet the requirements of compliance and client needs.

4. Are there prerequisites for taking courses?
There are no prerequisites for taking most of the courses. However, some courses are designed to be taken in a sequential order.

5. Are professional certification programs offered?
All of our Professional Development courses meet the requirements of professional organizations criteria such as the New York State engineering professional education board and the Florida State engineering professional board. Approval by other professional boards are based on a course by course basis. Check with your professional engineering board before submitting a course for professional credit.

6. How do I withdraw from a course that I have enrolled in?
If you have enrolled in a live online course and wish to withdraw, we will provide a 50% refund within 5 days of withdrawal. If the live online training and/or class is cancelled due to lack of attendance, we will provide a full refund. Please review our Refund Policy for more details.
